Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation, Community Advocacy Program in managing Advocacy initiatives is seeking an employee; one full-time position. Reporting to the Community Advocacy Supervisor. The positions will serve the community of Deschambault Lake. There will be support services for the worker and interested applicants with minimum qualifications are encouraged to apply.
 
Community Advocacy Worker (CAW)
The Community Advocacy Worker (CAW) is responsible for providing Advocacy services to support children, youth, and families. The CAW will participate in case planning and full range service delivery to children, youth, and families. Also, function as a member of Interagency services supporting children, youth, and families. Interagency comprising of local programs such as PBCN Health, Education and ICFS, and other service providers in the communities. The position will be located in the community of Deschambault Lake.
 
Qualifications - Minimum Education & Experience
  • Preferred: Social Services Diploma, other social services field of study
  • Minimum: Grade 12 Diploma
  • Two (2) years of direct experience in a Social Services capacity
  • Combined experience or education
PBCN is willing to train the successful candidate for this position, the person (s) selected will be supported by PBCN CAP personnel. Interested applicants with the minimum qualifications should apply.
 
Knowledge Requirements
  • Knowledge of Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation; Health Services, Education and Child and Family Services programs and services and working in a team environment with them and other government agencies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Other Requirements
  • Must provide a clear Police Records Check & Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Must provide a clear Child Welfare Check
  • Must provide a Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver’s License
