Foran Mining Corporation (TSX:FOM) is a forward-thinking mining company redefining the industry. We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator III to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working either a 7/7 or 14/14 rotation. This position is open to candidates who reside within 150 km of the McIlvenna Bay site or who can travel using our company shuttle from Saskatoon or Prince Albert. No additional travel subsidy is provided.

As part of the Site Services Team, the Heavy Equipment Operator III is responsible for supporting mining and site operations by safely operating select heavy equipment under supervision. The Heavy Equipment Operator III position focuses on developing core operating skills while assisting with material handling, basic site support, and road maintenance. Operators at this level are expected to follow safety protocols, complete routine tasks, and gain experience toward more advanced roles.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Operate designated heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, forklifts, or skid steers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Transport personnel or materials using company vehicles as needed.
  • Perform pre-operational checks and basic cleaning of equipment before and after use.
  • Support daily surface operations including material handling, road maintenance, and site cleanup.
  • Report equipment issues, damage, or safety concerns promptly to the maintenance team or supervisor.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate clearly with coworkers to ensure safety.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
  • Assist with site cleanup, setup, or other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications and Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 year of experience operating heavy equipment.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Basic operating skills for equipment such as loaders, forklifts, or skid steers.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and complete basic equipment inspections.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others on site.
