Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran (TSX:ELD) is seeking a Mill Operator 3 – Crushing Plant Operator’s to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 14/14 rotation.

As part of the Mill Processing Team, the Crushing Plant Operator will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient execution of crushing operations to produce crushed ore feed materials for storage and feed to the grinding section of the mill. This Crushing Plant Operator position involves monitoring equipment, managing materials, and maintaining production efficiency while adhering to safety and quality standards.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor crushing equipment including ROM bin, vibrating grizzly feeder, jaw crusher, conveyors, apron feeders, and crushed ore bin to produce material to the required specifications.
  • Adjust equipment settings and operating parameters to maintain safe, efficient, and consistent production.
  • Perform pre-operation checks, safety inspections, and follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures.
  • Monitor production rates, equipment performance, and product quality, including managing raw material flow and implementing dust control.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, respond to alarms or deviations, and coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, equipment status, maintenance, and operational metrics.
  • Collaborate with quality control, maintenance, and engineering teams to meet specifications and support process improvements.
  • Prepare reports on throughput, equipment utilization, and production performance.
  • Participate in toolbox meetings and contribute to a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
Job Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a mill or similar industrial setting.
  • Crushing plant experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of crushing equipment and basic troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Ability to interpret process parameters and equipment manuals.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist with maintenance.
