Foran Mining Corporation (TSX:FOM) is a forward-thinking mining company redefining the industry. We are seeking a Mobile Maintenance General Foreperson to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working either a 7/7 or 14/14 rotation.

The Mobile Maintenance General Foreperson will assist the Maintenance Manager by leading and managing a team of maintenance technicians, mechanics, and support staff engaged in the maintenance and repair of mobile equipment and vehicles at the mine site. This role involves planning, coordination, and supervision of maintenance activities to ensure the safe and reliable operation of mobile equipment, compliance with maintenance schedules, and adherence to safety standards.
 
Job Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise maintenance technicians and mechanics, providing direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Promote a strong safety culture, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Develop and execute maintenance plans and schedules to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with operations to support production requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and support safe work practices.
• Inspect mobile equipment to identify defects and maintenance requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Manage parts, tools, and inventory to support maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and generate reports on performance, costs, and downtime.
• Provide regular updates to management on maintenance activities and issues.
• Identify training needs and support development of maintenance personnel.
• Stay current with industry practices and new technologies.
• Support maintenance budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
 
Job Qualifications and Skills:
• Red Seal mechanical ticket or a combination of education and experience in a related field.
• 7+ years experience in mobile equipment maintenance.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of mobile equipment systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental compliance related to mobile equipment maintenance.
• Proficiency in maintenance software (CMMS) and computer applications.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
 
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive starting salary range of $130,000 - $140,000/year based on experience and qualifications. Annual discretionary short term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.
