A2SKI Industrial is searching for a dedicated and experienced Operator Lead Hand Foreman hand to join our team at the casino expansion project in Prince Albert. This is a unique full-time role that offers approximately 40 hours per week, providing flexibility while allowing you to apply your operating expertise in a dynamic and challenging environment. The Operator Lead hand Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily operations and supervising a team of operators to ensure efficient and safe production processes. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of operational procedures, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Lead Hand Operator Foreman you will be responsible to:

  • Supervision: Lead and manage a team of operators, providing guidance and support to ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

  • Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.

  • Training: Conduct training for new operators and provide ongoing coaching and development for existing team members.

  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor team performance and productivity, implementing improvements and corrective actions as needed.

  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between management and operators, facilitating clear communication and addressing any concerns or issues.

  • Problem Solving: Identify operational challenges and work collaboratively to develop and implement effective solutions.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of operations, incidents, and team performance, preparing reports for management as required.

  • Safety: Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols and best practices.

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of equipment operators, ensuring effective performance and adherence to safety standards.

  • Operate and manage various types of Powered Mobile Equipment and Excavation machinery, such as loaders, bulldozers, and excavators, in alignment with project needs. loaders, bulldozers, and excavators, in alignment with project needs.

  • Inspect work areas, equipment, and working conditions to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Assist in scheduling, reporting, and documentation of daily activities and work plans.

  • Collaborate with project managers and other foremen to ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope.

  • Mentor and train new operators, providing guidance on best practices and equipment handling.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the industry.

  • Proven experience in operating machinery relevant to the position.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions.

  • Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and procedures.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.

ROLE CRITERIA:

  • Drug and Alcohol Screening

  • Safety certificates (SCOT, First Aid, etc.)

  • Drivers License
