LOCATION:      Prince Albert, Saskatchewan

ROLE SUMMARY:

A2SKI Industrial is searching for a dedicated and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team for an exciting casino expansion project. This is a unique part-time role that offers approximately 20 hours per week, providing flexibility while allowing you to apply your safety expertise in a dynamic and challenging environment. As the Safety Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of everyone on site. You will be the go-to person for all safety-related matters, using your knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Regulations to create a culture of safety and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with industry professionals, make a visible impact, and contribute to the success of a major construction initiative.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Safety Coordinator you will be responsible to:

  • ·Monitor and enforce safety protocols on the construction site to ensure compliance with OH&S Regulations.
  • ·Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments, addressing any hazards or safety concerns promptly.
  • ·Provide safety training and presentations to staff and subcontractors as needed.
  • ·Collaborate with site supervisors and management to maintain a safe work environment.
  • ·Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
  • ·Assist with incident investigations and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences..

QUALIFICATIONS:

As the Safety Coordinator, you will bring:

  • ·Preferred: National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification.
  • ·Acceptable: National Health and Safety Administrator (NHSA) certification or equivalent safety qualifications.
  • ·If you do not possess formal safety certifications, you must have relevant construction experience.
  • ·Strong understanding of OH&S Regulations and the ability to apply them effectively.
  • ·Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • ·Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate safety information clearly.
  • ·Demonstrated reliability and a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.

ROLE CRITERIA:

  • ·Drug and Alcohol Screening
  • ·Safety certificates (SCOT, First Aid, etc.)
