Site Services Summer Student – 2025-026
Foran Mining Corporation (TSX:FOM) is a forward-thinking mining company redefining the industry. We are seeking (4) Site Services Summer Students to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a temporary student position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 7/7 rotation during the summer months (May – August).
 
The McIlvenna Bay Cu-Zn-Au-Ag deposit is one of the largest undeveloped VHMS deposits in Canada. Foran recently announced (2024) approval by the Board of Directors for the project to proceed to the formal construction phase with initial production expected in Q4 2025. The McIlvenna Bay deposit’s core commodities are critical for the global transition to green energy and Foran aims to extract these critical minerals in a sustainable manner by empowering local communities, contributing to circular economies and protecting the environment for future generations.
 
The Site Services Summer Student will be responsible for performing a variety of general labour duties on surface to aid the advancement of our project site in a safe and efficient manner.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Packing and moving of various items such as office furnishings and supplies during construction of camp and administration offices
  • Prepping and painting of Sea Can containers on site
  • Perform general site clean up duties while following proper disposal requirements.
  • Assist Project Administrator with stocking of PPE and other supplies and advise when re-ordering is required.
  • Pickup/drop off of supplies to nearest centre by vehicle as required.
  • Perform various general cleaning/organizing activities required at the project site
  • Assist the Environment team with inspection and sample activities
Job Qualifications and Skills:
  • Must be a student 18 years of age or older attending or returning to post-secondary school studies in the Fall of 2025
  • Must be available to work a 7/7 schedule at McIlvenna Bay Site from May to August
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the workplace
  • Standard First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
  • Valid Class 5 license with a clean driving record is required ability to work outdoors and in an industrial setting
  • The ability to demonstrate safe and efficient workplace practices
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Strong work ethic, reliable and accountable
  • Possess a willingness to learn new skills
  • Exceptional decision-making skills, superior troubleshooting capabilities, and easily adaptable to constant change
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly wage of $21.65/hr
