Tim Horton’s Assistant Manager / Supervisor

The Assistant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and helps ensure exceptional guest service, strong team performance, and efficient restaurant operations. This role assists with overseeing staff, maintaining operational standards, supporting training and development, and helping achieve sales, labour, food, and service targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Restaurant Manager in daily operations, including service, production, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional guest service and creating a positive guest experience.
  • Help coach, train, motivate, and develop team members to achieve performance expectations.
  • Assist with shift delegation, team communication, and maintaining a productive work environment.
  • Support inventory control, ordering, waste reduction, and adherence to Always Fresh standards
  • Help monitor labour, food, and paper costs and support achievement of restaurant targets.
  • Assist in handling guest concerns and resolving issues professionally and promptly.
  • Ensure company policies, procedures, and operational standards are consistently followed.
  • Promote a safe workplace by following health and safety procedures, addressing hazards, and supporting training and compliance.
  • Act as a leader in the Restaurant Manager’s absence and help ensure smooth restaurant operation.

Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant, retail, or hospitality supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Passion for guest service and team development
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to take initiative and support overall restaurant success.
