As part of the Underground Management Team, the production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating underground mining operations to ensure safe and efficient production. The Production Supervisor manages a team of underground LHD, Remote LHD and Truck operators to safely and efficiently meet production targets. This role involves monitoring production targets, evaluating equipment performance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:
• Lead and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulations, safety meetings, and inspections.
• Supervise, train, and mentor underground crews to support safe and efficient operations.
• Coordinate underground mining activities to meet production targets and optimize resources.
• Manage equipment allocation, maintenance, and performance to ensure reliability.
• Oversee mucking, trucking, backfilling, and drilling and blasting activities in line with safety and productivity standards.
• Track and report on production, equipment performance, and shift activities.
• Ensure material quality standards are met through effective quality control.
• Identify and implement process improvements and cost efficiencies.
• Maintain compliance with all mining regulations, permits, and company policies.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall site performance.
Job Qualifications and Skills:
• Grade 12 diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and 15+ years underground experience.
• 5+ years underground mining experience with progressive responsibility and supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of underground mining methods, equipment, drilling and blasting, and tele-remote operations.
• Experience with stope optimization, cycle time reduction, and remote mucking practices.
• Relevant safety certifications such as Mine Supervisor, First Aid, and Blasting considered an asset.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage crews in a high-performance environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with crews and leadership.
• Ability to identify operational issues and implement practical solutions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills in a dynamic environment.
• Solid understanding of underground safety risks including explosives handling, ground control, and slip, trip, and fall hazards.
• Ability to respond effectively to emergencies in a safety-sensitive environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of $115,500 per year, plus a monthly shift crossover premium. Annual discretionary short term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.
