The Warranty Specialist & Site Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities across camp facilities, water treatment plants, and surface infrastructure. This role also manages warranty claims for all site assets, including mobile equipment and fixed infrastructure such as the mill and paste plant.
Reporting to the Sr Maintenance & Reliability Advisor, this role works closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure maintenance activities and warranty claims are handled efficiently and in line with Foran standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain maintenance schedules for camp, water treatment plants, and surface infrastructure.
- Plan and coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
- Coordinate resources, materials, and contractors to support execution.
- Utilize CMMS to manage work orders, parts, and asset history.
- Conduct site inspections and prioritize maintenance needs with supervisors.
- Ensure all work meets safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
- Develop job plans including scope, labour, tools, and materials.
- Monitor performance and implement improvements.
- Liaise with procurement and warehouse for parts and materials.
- Support budgeting through maintenance forecasting.
- Enter commissioning dates to initiate warranty tracking in CMMS.
- Review and assess warranty claims for accuracy and compliance.
- Evaluate supporting documentation and determine claim outcomes.
- Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve issues.
- Track warranty trends, recalls, and shipment discrepancies.
- Act as the main point of contact for warranty-related matters.
- Establish and maintain warranty processes.
Job Qualifications and Skills:
- Post-secondary education preferred.
- Minimum 5 years experience in planning, scheduling, warranty, or related roles in mining or heavy industry.
- Experience with CMMS systems such as SAP or Pronto.
- Strong understanding of maintenance principles across mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Confident communicator able to manage complex situations.
- Experience with water treatment and surface infrastructure is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of mining safety and environmental regulations.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive starting salary range of $95,000 - $110,000/year based on experience and qualifications. Annual discretionary short term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.
