Micheala Merasty is a member of Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation (PBCN) and the new Land Use Planner with the PBCN Lands and Resources Department. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology from the University of Saskatchewan. In this role, she supports PBCN communities in developing Land Use Plans that balance housing needs, community growth, and the protection of culturally and environmentally important areas. Drawing on several years of experience as an environmental biologist, Micheala brings skills in field investigations, data analysis, and technical reporting to her planning work. She is committed to working closely with leadership, staff, and community members to ensure planning reflects PBCN values, land-based knowledge, and community priorities. |
